Meet Ric Murphy.
He’s the reason you may have noticed that our community garden is looking super fresh! Farmer Ric is a new member of The Center for Land-Based Learning and he is taking the lead on managing our community garden in Garden Park.
Sidenote: if you have ever been hesitant to indulge in that community garden because you aren’t sure who it’s for, let me assure you the community garden is for YOU. We love our community and we are so lucky to have the Center for Land-Based Learning onsite curating our garden beds. So please, enjoy!
Ok, back to Ric! Ric comes to the community with a wealth of experience and knowledge and he has big plans for the garden. Prior to CLBL, he spent a decade farming in New Mexico, starting as an apprentice, moving onto managing farms, and then owning his own. He knows what he’s doing and he’s passionate about all things farming. Ric plans on sharing recipes with us regularly so we know how to use all the goods from the garden! So, if you see Farmer Ric around the garden, please say hello.
