This Sunday, June 4th, we will be celebrating the launch of another season of the Mobile Farmers Market Truck, a program of The Center for Land-Based Learning. We will celebrate the kick-off with some live music, onsite yoga fun, fresh flowers, and specials from Franquette. We hope to see you there! Please do RSVP here.
Mobile Farmers Market
This very important project aims to address the growing concern of limited access to fresh, affordable fruits, vegetables, and other essential food items, particularly in underserved urban neighborhoods. By combining mobility, sustainability, and community outreach, this innovative project holds the potential to make a lasting impact on public health and well-being. While we are lucky enough to have them every Sunday throughout the summer in front of the Leasing Office in the Bridge District, it is important to recognize their presence the rest of the week as well. Please see their full schedule below.
As we anticipate the launch of the Mobile Farmers Market Truck, it’s important to recognize the broader implications of this initiative. Beyond providing convenient access to fresh produce, this mobile market represents a collective effort to tackle the challenges of food insecurity, health disparities, and environmental concerns in our communities. We are proud of the incredible work that the Center for Land-Based Learning does and we feel so grateful to have them right here in our community.
The upcoming launch event of the Mobile Farmers Market Truck is an exciting development that promises to reshape the way we approach food accessibility and healthy eating. By combining mobility, sustainability, and community engagement, this initiative strives to create a more equitable and nutritious future for all. Let’s embrace this progressive project and join hands in celebrating the power of fresh, locally-sourced produce for a healthier world.
